State of the Pool and Spa Industry
When the COVID-19 pandemic began last year, the entire world locked down and retreated into their homes.
Stress levels caused by an unfamiliar virus, parents and students both working from home, community fitness clubs and public swimming pools being closed – these things and more contributed to 2020 as “The Year of the Home.” Suddenly, home improvements of all types were increased. This included the demand for backyard pools, swim spas, hot tubs and more.
The pool and spa industry was caught off guard. This article explains how COVID-19 had more far-reaching effects than the industry was prepared for. Manufacturers of these products, and the suppliers they use to build them, have continued to be seriously derailed by circumstances largely outside of their control. From raw material shortages to supply chain disruptions to ongoing production limitations, manufacturers have still not been able to return to pre-pandemic production levels.
For 63 years we at Arvidson Pools & Spas have built our business based on simple, natural, and honest communications with our customers.
